advoca•C — a quill pen writing over cream paper

Stop letting the room write your story.

The Mirror

The habits that got you here are the same ones wearing you out.

Reading the room Being agreeable Being the fixer Carrying the extra load Keeping your head down

Ignore the root cause, and those habits help you run the wrong thing faster.

Nobody talks about the expiration date on survival skills.

At advoca•C, we help Corporate Black Executives break from a system built for someone else.

You leave with an executable strategy that's unmistakably yours, sound enough to act on whether you rise, pivot, or move on.

BOOK A DISCOVERY CALL

Who it's for

You spent 10+ years climbing inside organizations that handed you a first draft.

You had goals, but somewhere along the way you got
lost in someone else's strategy.

The Leader. 01
  • You speak up, and the room hears a tone
  • Growing in your career but just shy of "enough"
  • Watching your back while you fade into the background
The Mover. 02
  • Considering the move
  • Getting moved
  • Frozen while the window closes

The stage you're in doesn't matter, but your next move does.

Whose story are you writing?

The program

the Rewrite.

A 90-day program that starts with getting to the root cause of the misalignment blocking everything else. You get clear on the real challenges, and we build an executable strategy with measurable outcomes, concrete enough to move on Monday.

1
We revisit who you are today.

Your real strengths and talents, and competing expectations.

2
You own the outcome.

Your own vision. Your own priorities. We separate the signal from the noise, pick the one thing that matters today, and work it all the way through.

3
We build your strategy.

I help you define what needs to happen and how.

4
We work the plan.

I stay in it with you week to week as you progress. I guide. You drive. We measure. Your win.

Who I am

My name is Atieno, pronounced "Ah-T-N-O". Houston is my center of gravity, with roots back in Louisiana and Kenya.

As a technology transformation leader for 25 years, I delivered $129M in sales and managed $89M in revenue for Fortune 500 clients; built strategies for nonprofits; and sponsored minority-serving education programs.

The strategies worked. So did I. I became the first Black female Managing Director in Accenture's Houston office. The Universe conspired to make it happen, so it did.

Then the congratulations died down and I thought, "Now what?"

For years I was running a vision built for someone else and never once asked whether it fit who I am. I lived that misalignment. I wasn't leaving a legacy. I was losing myself in the chaos. So I left corporate life and never looked back. Then I built the work I wish I'd had.

the Rewrite. is my lived experience. I was the one staying, leaving, and starting over. That's where the passion comes from.

I've worked with senior executives navigating strategic misalignment, helping them build a clear 5-year vision and an activation plan for their highest-priority initiatives.
